Course Structure

The course consists of 10 sessions, each lasting 3 hours (including tidy-up time). Class size is limited to 10 students for personalised instruction.

Session 8:

Dedicated to glazing your pottery. Finished pieces will typically be ready for collection 2–3 weeks after the course ends.

Please note: It is essential to attend the first two and the final sessions to ensure you stay on track and complete your projects. Make-up sessions or class swaps cannot be offered, as our classes are fully booked.

Materials

We provide all necessary materials for the course, including buff and craft crank stoneware clays, tools, slips, underglazes, moulds, and studio-mixed glazes. A firing fee of £5 per kilogram applies for fired pieces.

What to Bring

Aprons are not provided, so please bring your own if desired.

What Happens If You Miss a Class

Missing a class or two is manageable, but attendance at the first two sessions is highly recommended as they cover foundational techniques. If you miss a class, your teacher will help you catch up upon your return. Please note that make-up classes or session swaps are not available.
