Wednesday Evening Hand-Building Workshop

Duration: 3 hours
Discover the art of hand-building pottery in this 3-hour workshop, perfect for beginners. Create and decorate your own pieces, ready for collection after firing.
Explore the fundamentals of hand-building ceramics through practical techniques and creative decoration methods:
- Pinching techniques
- Coiling techniques
- Soft slab construction
- Surface decoration basics to personalize your pieces
Develop a solid understanding of essential ceramic techniques and complete pieces to be bisque and glaze fired. Your finished works will be ready for collection approximately 4–5 weeks after the session.
We provide all necessary materials for the course, including buff and craft crank stoneware clays, tools, slips, underglazes, moulds, and studio-mixed glazes.
A firing fee of £5 per kilogram applies for fired pieces.
Your work will be fired and ready for collection 4–5 weeks after the glaze session. You will receive an email notification once your pieces are ready for pickup.
Aprons are not provided, so please bring your own if desired.
To ensure fair staff wages and keep our pricing accessible, our refund and exchange policy is as follows:
- Courses can be exchanged up to 28 days before the start date.
- For exchanges made between 28 and 14 days before the start date, a £20 administrative fee will apply.
- Within 14 days of the start date, bookings are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
